2 Day Series Mediterranean Cooking and Wine Pairings Cellardoor Vineyard – Lincolnville, ME 5:30-8:30 p.m. May 23rd and May 24th

Where Cellardoor wines meet Mediterranean cuisine. Senses will be awakened as we explore the Mediterranean flavors present in each dish, and complementing wine pairings enhance the marriage of the flavors. Enjoy an educational dining experience in the Cellardoor kitchen overlooking the beautiful vineyard. A four course seated meal will be served. Each class is offered individually for $85 per person or $150 per person to those who attend both days. Day one will feature an olive oil tasting and Day two will focus on pastas, with seasonal vegetables each day.

Day One – Focus on Pastas (5:30-8 p.m.)
Make a pasta similar to the one popular in Southern Italy, with durum wheat and water, a lighter pasta than the type made with eggs. Enjoy Mediterranean style vegetables from the Maine Farm: Rhubarb, cucumber and mint salad; asparagus in parchment.* (*Seasonal adjustments may be made)

Day Two – Focus on Olive Oil (11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)
Learn about different types of olive oils and how they enhance your foods. Sample menu includes: Fava Broad Beans Purea, Sweet and Sour Bell Peppers, Sea Bass in Salt Crust, Bruschetta with Mediterranean vegetables from the Maine Farm.* (*Seasonal adjustments may be made)

Vegan Latin Tasting

The Danforth Inn welcomes you to warm up to Spring at the Danforth with a tasting vibrant. Enjoy a Vegan meal created by Guest Chef Michelle Goldman of Sea Change Cooking School. Join us for a fun, festive tasting inspired by the flavors of Brazil’s annual Carnival! Vegan menu includes sweet potato chipotle bisque, empanadas with black bean sofrito, and avocado crème” brulée.
